I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, LGPC, with 8 years of experience working with children in the public-school setting. I am going to begin working towards my play therapist licence. I work with young children to young adults and enjoy using play therapy modalities with children to engage children in therapy and work through their therapeutic journey. I worked with ages 3-14 during my internship experiences during graduate school.

 

My background is in special education, specifically working with children who experience emotional and behavioral disabilities and managing difficult behaviors. Some of the modalities that I use are centered around being trauma-informed and using a person-centred approach. I practice crisis intervention, solution-focused interventions with children, leading small social-emotional groups, emotional regulation skills practice, problem-solving techniques and restorative practices are some of the areas I am most experienced in.
